Job Description

Job Role: Project Engineer
Location: Leicester

Shift: Monday – Friday (8:30am-4:30pm)
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum

This Project Engineer role involves overseeing small to medium-sized projects from order to installation, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of both the customer and the company.

 

 

Project Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Create and refine layouts and components to a high standard
  • Prepare necessary general arrangement and fabrication drawings
  • Verify the accuracy and quality of drawings
  • Maintain communication with the customer on project progress
  • Coordinate with suppliers on requirements, pricing, and performance
  • Identify and procure necessary parts
  • Track costs to optimize gross profit for each contract
  • Manage installation teams and ensure successful site performance
  • Coordinate and schedule deliveries
  • Ensure contracts are completed on schedule

 

The Candidate:

 

  • Possess relevant qualifications in Engineering.
  • Proficient in using AutoCAD software.
  • Strong verbal, written, and telephone communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, suppliers, and customers.
  • Excellent organizational abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
  • Adaptable to changes in scheduling requirements.
  • Committed to delivering high-quality work and ensuring projects meet satisfactory standards.
  • Strong team collaboration skills.
  • Effective problem-solving capabilities.
  • Confident in making decisions independently.
  • Aware of cost-efficiency and budget management.
  • Understanding of health and safety risks associated with installations, with the ability to write risk assessments and method statements.
  • Competent in using basic Microsoft Office applications.
