Job Role:              Production Planner
Location:             Leicestershire 

Shift:                     Monday – Friday
Salary:                  up to £38k (doe)

 

The Company:

A role has become available for a Production Planner at a well-established design business based in Loughborough (Leicestershire).

Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for the creation and execution of the Production Plan to fulfil customer demand (on-time and in-full).

Job Role Responsibilities:

  • Check and run capacity plan.
  • Plan and schedule all manufacturing orders on daily basis to meet on time customer delivery promised date.
  • Develops manufacturing work orders in accordance with Material Requirement Planning (MRP) planned order requirements.
  • Calculate and provide accurate lead time expectations and delivery estimates to sales.
  • Confirm to sales via updating ERP system with confirmed duel date after planning and reviewing capacity and resources.
  • Liaise and check on shop floor with production to ensure plan is running to schedule.
  • Run daily backlog report and action recovery plan.
  • Analyse sales and shipment data daily and ensure order remain on time within 95% OTD target.
  • Resolve any exceptions (over or under capacity) by changing available labour or equipment

 

The Candidate:

  • Understanding of the principles of production planning and supplier management.
  • MRP knowledge/experience is essential. Ideally experience with Access Supply Chain
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills with the ability to communicate with stakeholders, both internally and externally, ensuring the requirements of the department and wider business are met.
  • Proven ability of working to tight deadlines, managing workload, and prioritizing tasks.
  • A team player with good communication skills and the ability to multi-task and operate effectively in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
  • An individual who is resilient, energetic, and enthusiastic who responds constructively to new ideas and input in a changing business environment.
  • Strong communicator with the capability to challenge, engage and influence all stakeholders within a dynamic and cross functional environment.
  • Proactive and tenacious nature, taking initiative and using failure as an opportunity to learn.
  • Driven by accuracy with meticulous attention to detail.
