Joinery - Project Manager
We are looking for a self-motivated individual to work within our joinery department in a full range of project management tasks. You will be responsible for the detailed planning and organisation of manufacturing to achieve all output targets in terms of quantity, quality, unit costs and project requirements.
Background knowledge of the industry is essential.
This is full time role, 45 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities involve;
- To manage customer/partner relationships from project authorisation and initiation through to project closure ensuring regular communication and reporting of project progress versus the delivery contract
- Raising and recording variations and providing continued business justification
- To raise invoices promptly upon achievement of milestones and deliverables and confirming payment.
- To support and manage the financial performance of projects, utilising regular financial reports to monitor actual spend versus the quotation and forecast; Identify spending anomalies
- To contribute to the operation of the Management team, supporting the continuous development and improvement of project management processes
- Work with production management to delegate tasks and resources to ensure the project is delivered according to plan
- To maintain frequent and detailed communication with all members of the team to always ensure clarity
- To proactively manage foreseen project risks and mitigate issues as they arise, implementing corrective actions
- To comply with CPI procedures, including all safety requirements
- To manage project administration tasks
- Report project results to management
- Liaise with suppliers & raise orders
- Check invoices against purchase order values & sign off
- Support Management in project administration duties
Skills:
The candidate must be able to demonstrate practical experience of managing a project as the Lead Project Manager with financial and overall delivery responsibility. Is driven, motivated and ambitious. Good people management, a team player and pro-active with a “can-do” attitude are essential to deliver the job fully. Be open and willing to learn and use your insight to develop the business
Must be fully conversant and proficient with all Microsoft Office suite of programs
