Job Description: |
A new position is created within the technical department of FTB to assist the production of workshop drawings for pre-cast elements for HS2. The role reports to the Technical Manager, the selected candidate is expected to bring QA/QC experience to produce workshop drawings for infrastructure projects. He/She will be responsible for implementing FTB’s drafting standards and establish a review process to accelerate the creation of workshop drawings while ensuring quality in every technical package. This person will work with the structural engineers to double check the quality behind all the documentation created and delivered by the Technical Department of FTB. Structural engineers will address the quality from a design point of view while Precast Technician (QA/QC Workshop Drawings) will address it from a format/presentation and production requirements perspective, considering the team recommendations and best practice standards in the industry. The main tasks this person will deal with daily include: · QA/QC of workshop drawings to produce prestressed concrete beams. · Support to Structural Engineer implementing standards of quality in FTB’s documentation. · Support to Document Controllers during the preparation and transmittal of workshop drawings. · Implementing client’s standards for detailing of structures. |

Desired Experience: |
· Reinforced Concrete / Prestressed concrete detailing exp. (5 years). · Understanding/Knowledge of reinforced concrete and precast detailing. · Understanding/Knowledge of reinforced concrete and precast production. |
Qualifications |
· Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural Engineering. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. |
